(Agraria.pe) The Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PromPerú) organized, from December 10 to 13, a trade mission within the framework of the I International Fair of Excellence Cocoa (FICACAO), held in the district of Pichari, Cusco, in the area of the Valley of the Rivers Apurímac, Ene and Mantaro (VRAEM). With the aim of learning about the origin, quality, and the harvesting and post-harvest processes of the cocoa from the area, PromPerú invited six international buyers from Russia, France, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany, interested in cocoa and derivatives for the development of long-term commercial relationships. As a result of this mission, business for 250 tons of cocoa is expected, with an estimated value of more than S/ 5.7 million.
