Turkey is utilizing geothermal resources to establish geothermal greenhouses, aiming to increase food production and create job opportunities. The chairman of the Geothermal Energy Association (JED) highlighted the potential for growth in this sector, suggesting that with the right policies and incentives, Turkey could have a greenhouse area of 10,000 hectares in 10 years, generating over 100,000 new jobs. Geothermal greenhouses enable year-round agricultural production and have the potential to make Turkey a global leader in soilless agricultural practices and high-value exports.
