The Hass Avocado Board (HAB) reports that retail sales of Hass avocados reached a four-year high in the fourth quarter, with 167.5 million avocados sold generating $202.1 million in retail sales. The bagged format played a key role, with sales volume increasing by 18.1% across Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The Great Lakes region led the volume growth, increasing by 43.2% in unit sales. Holiday promotions also contributed to a significant increase in sales, with small avocados capturing nearly half of the unit share of total sales during the holiday week.
