The agrarian organization UPA has expressed its satisfaction with the European Parliament's decision to reform the common organization of the markets in agricultural products (OCM) to protect contracts in the field, contrary to the opinion of the cooperatives. The plenary session of the Eurochamber has approved its position on the European Commission's proposal regarding the modification of the single OCM and other regulations of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The Parliament has supported a series of measures to strengthen the position of farmers in the value chain, including written sales contracts for agricultural products, although the final result will depend on their negotiations with the countries starting this month.
