U.S. pork exports recovered in June

Pork exports in June 2025 totaled 239,304 tons, a 7% increase from the previous year, while the value increased by 3.5% to 682.6 million dollars. In the first half of the year, exports fell 4% from last year's record pace of 1.46 million tons. The value exported was 4.110 billion dollars, a 3.5% drop from the previous year, but still the third-highest total ever recorded for a first half of the year. Mexico, the largest market, set the pace for pork exports in June, with 102,750 tons, a 24% increase from the previous year. The value of exports increased by 33% to 249.4 million dollars, the second highest ever, only surpassed by December 2024. This included a 20% increase in muscle cuts, reaching 85,709 tons, representing 12% of U.S. pork production in the month.
