The USDA's Gain Report has forecasted a rise in Brazil's paddy rice production for the 2024/2025 commercial year to 10.882 million tons from the previous year's 10.411 million. The estimated milled rice output is 7.400 million tons, up from 7.100 million tons last year. The planted area for the next cycle is expected to increase to 1.60 million hectares from 1.55 million. Milled rice exports are projected to remain steady at 1.1 million tons, while imports are anticipated to decrease to 1.1 million milled tons from 1.3 million tons in the previous cycle. Finally, the report predicts an increase in Brazil's final stocks of processed rice to 817,000 tons from 717,000 tons in the 2024/2025 commercial year.
