In March, beef exports reached 108,218 mt, marking a 10% decrease from the previous year but the highest in 2024, with export value hitting $889.9 million, the highest in nine months. From January to March, exports were down 4% in volume but up 6% in value, totaling $2.48 billion. The Caribbean, particularly the Dominican Republic, saw a 16% increase in March shipments, while the Middle East experienced a 30% rebound. Mexico's March volume fell by 5%, but its value rose by 3%. First quarter lamb exports decreased by 5% in volume but increased by 19% in value, driven by demand from the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada.
