In 2017, Vietnam's cashew exports surpassed $3 billion for the first time. The country has invested in modern processing machinery, with capacity reaching about 2 million tons/year, and has expanded its cashew export activities to all developed markets, led by the European Union, the United States, and China, which account for over 90% of exports. It is estimated that Vietnam's cashew exports will exceed 700,000 tons for the first time in 2024, driven by increased export prices and growth in traditional markets.
