The Prime Minister of Vietnam has approved a plan to add two new international border ports in Lao Cai Province, increasing the total number of international border ports in the province to three. Lao Cai Province shares a land border with China's Yunnan Province, and border trade activities, particularly in agricultural products, are flourishing. The export value of agricultural products passing through Lao Cai International Port has seen a significant increase, with fresh fruits like dragon fruits, bananas, watermelons, and durians being the main exports to China.
