Vietnamese lychee exports have seen a significant decrease due to a poor harvest, with production expected to drop by 50% in 2024 compared to 2023. The main lychee-growing areas, Bac Giang and Hai Duong Provinces, have been hit the hardest. As a result, lychee prices have reached record highs, with some varieties selling for over 360,000 VND/kg. The sales period for lychees has also been much shorter than in previous years.
