The Volendam Cooperative began its forestry activities in the year 2001, later growing with the incorporation of technology, genetics, and a productive system, such as silvopastoral, which adapted to the traditional activities of the area; today it has a surface area of forest plantations of 1500 hectares, in addition to an impregnating plant and a carpentry shop, which adds value to the raw material, highlighted in Nación Productiva by Agricultural Engineer Norbert Weichselberger, coordinator of the Technical Assistance Service of the entity, during the prelude to the V Forestry Technical Day, which will take place on October 8, in the Auditorium Hall of the institution.
