Wheat: Prices continue to fall; global production expected to be record-breaking

A CEPEA survey shows that wheat prices continue to weaken. The pressure comes mainly from the domestic supply, but also from the good expectations regarding the productivity of this season. Furthermore, CEPEA researchers indicate that the devaluation of the dollar increases the competitiveness of imported wheat, which leads buyers to try to negotiate domestic wheat at even lower prices.
