Farmers in the Krasnodar Territory, a major agricultural region in Russia, have commenced sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest, covering approximately 1.8 million hectares. The majority of this land (over 1.6 million hectares) will be dedicated to wheat, with smaller areas allocated for barley, triticale, and rape. The National Grain Center has supplied domestic seed selection for this sowing. The region has secured over 400 thousand tons of seeds and 300 thousand tons of fertilizers to support the farmers. The sowing is expected to be completed by October 25, weather permitting. In 2024, the region saw a successful harvest, collecting nearly 11.9 million tons of grain, including over 10.2 million tons of wheat, and plans to complete the 2025 harvesting by the end of November.
