Zambézia province sold 10,000 tons of cashew nuts by December, falling short of the expected 17,000 tons target, but still yielding more than 330 million meticais for producers according to Rádio Moçambique. The campaign, which began in November, has 7,000 tons left to be sold before it ends in February, with the National Almond Institute delegate in Zambézia, Sifa António, optimistic about reaching the planned target due to higher purchase prices and product availability. In Zambézia, cashew nuts are sold in 12 districts, with Mocuba, Pebane, Gilé, and Mulevala being the top producers.
