The increase in Russian grain imports to Japan is attributed to the restoration of bilateral trade in these products, according to the head of the Russian Grain Union. The ban on Russian grain exports to Japan was initiated by Japan in 2010, but even after the ban was lifted, Japan did not immediately resume buying Russian grain. However, recent data shows that Japan has significantly increased its purchases of Russian grain, with imports rising by over 5,680 percent compared to the same month last year.
