The company has packing houses, pre-cooling rooms, cold rooms and a separate warehouse for the materials. The temperature of the cold rooms for both Persian and Key lime storage is kept between 45 F and 50 F. Persian lime is packed into carton boxes of 10lbs or 40lbs for storage and shipping. Key Lime is only packed into carton boxes of 40lbs for storage and shipping. The company also offers different sizes and packaging options. The products are ready for shipping in 3 days to 1 week after the payment confirmation. The most common ways to export overseas depends on the destination, however, the company has easy access to Manzanillo port, Guadalajara airport and it is connected to the main highways in Mexico.

For the products which require storing, they are kept in cold rooms with controlled temperature and humidity according to the need of the product. Description
The production season for both variants is all year round and peaks between March and September. The average annual production of Persian lime is 960 MT and is cultivated in the Jalisco region in an area of 150 ha. The average annual production of key lime is 2880 MT and they are cultivated in the Colima and Michoacan region in an area of 300 ha. The company uses various types of technologies for the cultivation, harvest and processing. After harvest, the product is transported to the packing houses where it is cleaned, selected, sized and packed for sale. A staff complement of more than 300 workers is utilized in all crops combined.

Description
Citricos de Colima de S.A. de C.V. has two varieties of limes, the Persian lime and the Key lime. The Persian lime (Citrus Latifolia Tanaka) is a seedless and semi-acid lime initially it is green in colour although it turns into yellows as it reaches full ripeness. Persian lime is thicker-skinned and less aromatic than key lime / Mexican lime. The available sizes are measured by the number of limes in a 40 lbs box or 10 lbs boxes. The 40 Lbs boxes for Persian variant contain: 110’s, 150’, 175’s, 200’s or 230’s and 10 lbs boxes can contain: 36’s, 42’s, 48’s, 54’s or 60’s. The Key lime variant (Citrus Aurantifolia Swingle) is also known as West Indian lime. These seeded limes are highly acidic, small (approximately one and one-half inches of diameter) and round. They have a thin, smooth, greenish-yellow rind at the maturity stage which is very fragrant. The available sizes are measured by the number of limes in a 40 lbs box and it can contain: 300, 400, 500, 600 or 700.
Both Persian and Key limes are best suited for fresh consumption and for further processing. The biggest strengths of the products are their quality and price. The durability of both the variants after yield is 3 to 4 weeks. The cultivation of limes is done conventionally. Samples are available for both variants on request.
