Russia is experiencing a significant increase in fruit imports, with an average annual growth of 6.4% or $308 million. The country is particularly seeing a surge in the import of blueberries, mangoes, avocados, and exotic fruits like tamarind, lychee, jackfruit, sapodillo, passionfruit, carambola, and pitahaya. Blueberry imports are leading the charge with a 32% annual growth, followed by mangoes at 28%, and avocados at 28%. Imports of exotic fruits are rising by 16%. Mexico, Peru, and Israel are the main suppliers of avocados to Russia. Blueberries are sourced from countries like Chile, Peru, Morocco, Mexico, South Africa, Argentina, Serbia, Georgia, and Belarus, with Zimbabwe entering the market in 2020. Mangoes are imported from 24 countries, led by Peru, Brazil, Vietnam, China, and Egypt.
