Kazakhstan exported 67 thousand tons of onions in the first 8 months of the year, with Russia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan being the main export destinations. The country also harvested 3.9 million tons of vegetables, including 1,096.3 thousand tons of onions, 496.2 thousand tons of carrots, and 511.6 thousand tons of cabbage. To stabilize prices for vegetable products, regions are forming reserves for the off-season, with forward contracts already concluded for the supply of 173.7 thousand tons of vegetables for the 2024 off-season.
