The US Department of Agriculture forecasts a decline in total US citrus production, particularly oranges and grapefruits, until 2033. However, an increase is expected in the production of lemons and mandarins. Despite the production drop, the agricultural value for American citrus is projected to rise from $2.98 billion in 2022 to $3.7 billion in 2033. On the other hand, net farm income for all agriculture is predicted to fall by 4.8% from 2023 to 2024, and further decrease to $123.6 billion by 2033.
