South African lemon & lime exports broke the highest record in 2020

South African lemon & lime exports showed a record-breaking trade value in 2020, supported by the Netherlands' escalating demand (USD 80.02 million, +117.2% YoY), driving the exports to the peak. As the Netherlands abruptly increased South African supply, the country's re-exports of lemon & lime products showed negative growth, indicating the demand was attributed to domestic consumption. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong reduced their imports whilst most of the top importing countries from South Africa showed surging demand.
