Peruvian lemon exports closed the January-November season of 2025 with a clearly weaker performance compared to the previous year. The export value declined from $184.4 million in 2024 to $141.4 million in 2025, representing a drop of -23%, despite a significant increase in the volume shipped. The sharp correction in the average price was the main factor that explained the deterioration in the sector's performance. According to Fresh Fruit, during the first eleven months of 2025, the volume of lemon exports reached 88,800 tons, well above the 80,611 tons recorded in the same period last year. However, this greater physical dynamism did not translate into higher revenues due to the drop in the average price, which fell from $2.29/kg in 2024 to $1.59/kg in 2025, a reduction of nearly 31%.
