Chinese Ginger Prices in the US Reach Historic Highs on Low Availability

The wholesale price for imported Chinese ginger in the Atlanta wholesale market has reached USD 4.25/kg, a 13.5% MoM increase. A significantly reduced ginger production in China for most of 2002 has reduced the imported supply in the US, pushing prices to historic levels.
