Demand for Iranian Dates Rises High, Driving Up Prices in the Market

The price of dates in the Iranian market varies according to the variety. The Zahidi variety is sold at a cheaper price even though the price has skyrocketed after entering the second half of the year, it is estimated at 1.06 USD/KG in mid-November 2021. While Piarom is sold 3 times more expensive at 3.81 USD/KG. The surge in demand from abroad boosts prices in the domestic market.
