A family-run organic farming and trading company called Gustera SA is based in Kavala. Since 2009, it has been producing organic persimmons and kiwis on its own plantations in the municipality of Nestos. It also trades other fruits, which it stores and packages in its own facilities in the Kavala Industrial Area. While all of its own agricultural products is organic, the fruit from other growers that it packs is either conventional or organic.
