Darriet Estates have been owned by the same family for Eight generations.

Few key dates from history prove how this family-run vineyard has achieved a reputation for quality and great wines:

-In 1798, Establishment of the DEBAT family on the Rondillon terroir in Loupiac. Genesis of the production of dry and sweet white wine.

-In 1810, Purchase of the CLOS DU CHATEAU DE CADILLAC by the Darriet family

-In 1927, the wines of Château Dauphiné-Rondillon are commercialised in bottles and are appreciated as much as the prestigious Sauternes.

-In 1935, the Château Dauphiné-Rondillon 1931 was sold at the same rank as Château Pétrus 1931.

-In 1950 The arrival at the wine estate of Guy Darriet, chemical engineer and officer in the navy, was a real benefit as he developed an avant- gardiste environmental approach

-In 1952, Château Dauphiné-Rondillon entered the cellar of the French Presidency, "L’Elysée".

-In 2009, Area Certification

-In 2018,Level 3 Certification. High environmental value corresponds to the highest level of a more general scheme of environmental certification of wine estates.

We have 6 chateaux in several Bordeaux appellations (Bordeaux, Cadillac, Loupiac...) One of them will certainly please you . The wine cellar, older than 150 years, will make you travel through time by revealing the smell of the old oak barrels and the dusty bottles hiding forgotten vintages.

Clos du Chateau de Cadillac
Clos du Chateau de Cadillac
Clos du Chateau de Cadillac. The “La Renomée” statue is the work of renowned sculpture Pierre Briard who was ordered to sculpt it in 1597 by the Duc d’Epernon, or the “half-king”, while Henri III was king of France.
The statue was chosen as an emblem for this wine as its elegance, charm and voluptuousness represent the Clos de Château de Cadillac perfectly.
Located 50 km south-east from Bordeaux, this unique enclosure of vines in the historical town of Cadillac is a 2.5 hectare treasure.
Surrounded by 13th Century walls, the vines are planted exactly where one would have found the old gardens of the Castle of the Duc d’Epernon in Cadillac.
