Carob powder is a natural powder obtained from the fruit of the carob tree. It is produced by cleaning, crushing, roasting and grinding the pods, followed by packaging. It has a reddish-brown colour, a slightly sweet taste and an aroma reminiscent of cocoa.
Carob is distinguished by its high dietary fibre content, low fat content and natural sweetness, making it a valued substitute for cocoa in various food products.
