Cobia fish is a strategic export commodity for Indonesia with the current export volume of 15 MT/month. The production of this fish into an export-grade size takes relatively shorter compared to other freshwater fish varieties. The fish is currently being produced in West Java, East Java, and Lampung province of Indonesia. Countries like Australia, Japan, and the USA have shown keen interest in importing this fish. The export volume is expected to go up to 100 MT/month for the rest of 2020
