WIth reliable weather conditions, Uganda experiences up to 3 Chia Seeds seasons a year where it takes 72-80 days for the crop to mature after planting. However, most of the farmers prefer to do only two seasons in a
year for them to take a break since some of the activities such as threshing after harvests are tedious.

The planting of Chia in Uganda is normally done in March/April, July, and December for harvesting from July to late August, late September to December and in small amounts in January respectively.
