The General Administration of Customs in China has announced the suspension of imports from Taiwan of citrus fruits, chilled white hairtail, and frozen horse mackerel, effective from August 3, 2022. This decision is a result of the detection of quarantine pests and harmful substances in these products. The suspension is in compliance with China's laws, regulations, and standards. The suspension includes several types of citrus fruits, which are among the top 10 major fruits imported into China. This suspension follows similar measures taken last year to halt the import of other Taiwanese produce due to safety concerns.
