The amount of corn production that is stable and tends to increase in China does not seem to prevent the country from reducing imports of US corn. In fact, the surge in demand from China in 2020, made the US export corn by as much as 1.21B USD (+2121.47%). WPI corn in China had reached 152.97 in the fourth week of November 2021, higher than the WPI of US corn which was only 75.83 on November 29th, due to the of course, foreign products looked more attractive in the domestic market. Meanwhile, other major importers showed trends; WPI in Mexico was stable throughout June and July 2021, while Spain showed the cheapest index price where the value fell to 39.29 on November 29th. In addition, the WPI Corn in Colombia fluctuated throughout the second half of the year and reached 95.75 in the first week of November.
