The National Bank of Ukraine in its January inflation report increased the forecast for the 2025 grain and legume crop to 63.5 million tons from 61.5 million tons in the October report, but reduced the forecast for oilseeds to 18.6 million tons from 19.3 million tons. The forecast for the 2025 oilseed crop has been reduced by 0.7 million tons due to a slightly lower than expected soybean crop and the inability to harvest part of the sunflower crop due to adverse weather conditions and the difficult security situation in the growing regions.
