The NBU has changed its estimates for the grain and oilseed harvest in Ukraine.

The National Bank of Ukraine in its January inflation report increased the forecast for the 2025 grain and legume crop to 63.5 million tons from 61.5 million tons in the October report, but reduced the forecast for oilseeds to 18.6 million tons from 19.3 million tons. This is stated in the document, as reported by "ProAgro Group." The forecast for the 2025 oilseed crop has been reduced by 0.7 million tons due to a slightly lower than expected soybean crop and the inability to harvest part of the sunflower crop due to adverse weather conditions and the difficult security situation in the growing regions. The National Bank clarified that by the end of 2025, 89% of the corn and 95% of the grain and legume crops have been harvested. At the same time, thanks to significantly higher corn yields, the total grain and legume crop exceeded the previous year's figure by 7.4% or by 3% compared to the final data of the State Statistics Service.
