High Demand and Low Export Volume Rise Costa Rican Pineapple Price

Pineapple in Costarica’s wholesale price has soared +22.88% YoY. The price reached 788.5 CRC per Unit in W4 in September 2021 compared to the same period last year was 727.5 CRC. Costa Rica is the largest grower and exporter of pineapples with main importers are the US and EU Countries increased export value of +29.77% YoY. High demand from the importers amid easing lockdown restriction. Additionally, low export volume affects the high price of Costa Rican Pineapple.
