UK Onion Prices Continue to Rise due to Higher Input Cost and Labor Shortage

The wholesale price of the national brown onion in the UK reached a 91% YoY increase when it reached a price of USD 0.56/kg on the 11th of July. The price increase is attributed to the rise in input costs, as growers have been facing higher costs for fertilizer, energy, transport, and labor shortage.
