Beekeeping is going through difficult times, but we are determined to solve them. This was stated by Prof. Yulian Stanchev, Chairman of the Pleven Regional Beekeepers' Union, during the opening of the international exhibition "Beekeeping Pleven 2026." The expo, held for the 13th time, features over 120 exhibitors from various companies, as well as representatives from the sector from 20 countries, and lecturers from the United Kingdom, Poland, Ukraine, and Slovenia will give lectures during the event, which will last until February 15. "In recent years, beekeeping has become a dynamically developing sub-sector of Bulgarian agriculture, with an export orientation and an established image. Between 9,000 and 12,000 tons of high-quality honey are produced annually in the country.
