BLEND: 100% Chardonnay from the Matthiasson Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley
Harvest date: September 20, 2018 Bottling date: July 15, 2019
The grapes were harvested at the peak of ripeness and gently whole-cluster pressed. After settling for two days, the juice was moved to French oak barrels, 30% new, for fermentation. The wine was aged “sur lie” or on the lees for a full 10 months to build complexity and mouth-feel.
BLEND: 94% Cabernet Sauvignon: Estate Vineyard, Oak Knoll District 50% Estate Clone 337 44% Estate Clone 15
6% Cabernet Franc: Estate Vineyard, Oak Knoll District
Harvest dates: October 2-6, 2014 Bottling date: July 5, 2016
The oak is 90% new French and 10% new American, all barrel-fermented and barrel-aged for 22 months. The wine is then bottle aged for 2 years to allow for optimal fruit and oak integration.
