The oak is 90% new French and 10% new American, all barrel-fermented and barrel-aged for 22 months. The wine is then bottle aged for 2 years to allow for optimal fruit and oak integration.

All of the wine was aged in 40% new French oak, 10% new American oak (both medium plus and heavy toast), and 50% neutral barrels for 26 months.

The 2017 vintage reserve blend was barrel fermented and aged in 90% new French oak for 2.5 years prior to bottling.

29% from Matthiasson’s Linda Vista Vineyard

The grapes were harvested at the peak of ripeness and gently whole-cluster pressed. After settling for two days, the juice was moved to French oak barrels, 30% new, for fermentation. The wine was aged “sur lie” or on the lees for a full 10 months to build complexity and mouth-feel.
