Doreumeong Black Piggy Bread, adding a taste of Jeju to premium desserts.
Black pigs are popular in Jeju and have become a symbol of the island. These black pigs were the motivation behind the shape of the “piggy breads”. Locally grown ingredients were also added, giving the product more meaning and emphasizing its origin.
Pigs symbolize wealth and good fortune in Korea, and giving Piggy Breads as gifts is highly recommended. Doreumeong means ‘to run’ in the Jeju dialect.
