There is no large or commercial tamarind plantation in Myanmar. Villagers grow 4-5 plants in their own garden or nearby their home. Thus the majority of tamarind is naturally grown without applying chemical pesticides or fertilizers. During the harvest season (March-May), local collectors/traders purchase from villagers and resell to large wholesalers or exporters. Thus sometimes, the lead time can take longer than expected if the order is in large quantity.
