Vietnamese tea export status in the first half of 2020

In June 2020, tea export reached 12,000 tons, worth 19 million USD, which increases 26.4% in volume and 21% in value compared to May 2020 and by 6% in volume and 0.8% in value compared to June 2019. The average export price of tea items in June 2020 was estimated at 1,583.3 USD/ton, which decreased by 6.7% compared to the same period in 2019. Besides that, the average export price of tea items in the first six months of 2020 is estimated at 1,551.3 USD/ton, which decreases 9% compared to the first 6 months of 2019. Despite complicated movements of the COVID-19, black tea exports still increased sharply, reaching 25.2 thousand tons, worth 33.7 USD million, which increases 10.8% in volume and 7.4% in value compared to the same period in 2019.
