Demand for cassava has increased since September until now although the monsoon season is declining in Malaysia. Usually, cassava demand only increases during the monsoon season, but it is still in high demand now. This is due to the pandemic that changed the way local people are comfortable eating cassava as a staple food stock at home since it is not easily spoiled.
