Tanzania to open a new tea auction centre in October 2020.

Tanzania Board of Tea (TBT) announce the opening of a new tea auction in Dar es salaam. Previously Tanzania tea sold through Mombasa auction(Kenya). The new tea auction center will be operating under Tanzania Merchantile Exchange (https://www.tmx.co.tz/) via an online system that gives buyers all around the world to participate.
Tanzania has acres of tea, with smallholder farms and privately-owned tea estates. This new auction center will benefit Tanzania tea producers, as well as the Rwanda and Burundi producers in the future.
