The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Turkey has released 1.75 million carp fingerlings into 9 dams and 21 ponds in Çanakkale as part of the 'Fishing of Water Resources Project'. The carp were reared by the Edirne Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and were distributed to 30 water sources in Çanakkale, with 250 thousand released into the Atikhisar Dam, the city's drinking and utility water source. The release event was attended by local education, university, and government officials, aiming to raise awareness about the project's goal of sustainability and leaving a healthy environment for future generations.
