Turkiye: 10 tons of anchovies seized in Sinop

Officials from the Sinop Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry have confiscated 10 tons of anchovies from fish transport vehicles in Ayancık and Türkeli districts, as they were found to be caught under the legal size. The seizure is part of a larger effort to prevent the hunting of small-sized fish, with ongoing inspections focusing on the coastline, fishing shelters, and fish transports. The individuals responsible have been subjected to administrative action in accordance with Law No. 1380, and the inspections are set to continue.
