The 12th Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) Ministerial Meeting was held in Jakarta, strengthening the partnership of the world's largest palm oil producing nations. The meeting saw Indonesia, Malaysia, and Honduras strategizing to expand the palm oil market, with the welcome of new observer countries, DRC and Nigeria. The nations also aimed to bolster smallholder empowerment and tackle trade barriers. Indonesia's B40 program, which uses palm oil-based biodiesel, was lauded for reducing carbon emissions. The meeting concluded with the handover of the CPOPC Chair from Indonesia to Malaysia for the next year, emphasizing the commitment of these countries to the sustainability and expansion of the palm oil industry.
