The total area of irrigated land in Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions exceeded 40.5 thousand hectares, with the State Fisheries Agency organizations supplying 130.8 million cubic meters of water for this purpose. Among the cereal and leguminous crops grown under irrigation are rice, wheat, barley, corn, peas, soybeans, and chickpeas. The vegetable and fruit basket has been expanded with grapes, strawberries, potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage, watermelons, and cotton.
