Turkey: 150 thousand turkeys prepared for New Year's Eve in Bolu

In Bolu, 150 thousand turkeys were prepared by increasing the capacity in production farms for the New Year. The turkeys, which will be produced specially for the New Year and cut into smaller kilos and brought to the tables, are offered for sale at an average price of 300 TL per kilo. In Bolu, which accounts for 30 percent of Turkey's turkey meat production, special turkeys are raised on farms for the New Year. While male turkeys produced on normal days are cut into 20 kilos and female turkeys into 11 kilos, New Year turkeys are cut into 7-8 kilos and made ready for consumers.
