Turkey is the world leader in dried apricot exports, generating $162 million in revenue in the 2020-21 season, marking a 7% increase from the previous season. The country exported 50,350 tons of dried apricots in the first half of the 2020-21 season, a decrease from the 58,604 tons exported in the same period of the previous season. The average price for dried fruits in Turkey was $1.4 billion. To further improve quality, the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry is collaborating with the Turkey Dried Fruits and products Exporters' Association and the Malatya Commodity exchange on the 'Strengthening of Dried apricots quality Project'. Dried apricots are exported to 104 countries, with the United States being the largest market.
