Published 2025년 6월 30일

Tridge summary

On June 22, 17 tons of Vietnamese frozen durian with shells successfully cleared customs at the Tianbao Port, marking the first import of frozen durian with shells since the first batch of frozen durian pulp was imported on May 31.

According to Han Tao, the person in charge of the importer Huaqi Import and Export Trade (Wenshan) Co., Ltd., this batch of durian uses advanced liquid nitrogen quick-freezing preservation technology, rapidly lowering its core temperature after harvesting, combined with vacuum packaging and storage below -18°C, effectively preserving the freshness, nutrition, and flavor of the fruit. This technology reduces transportation losses and extends the shelf life to 24 months, breaking through the seasonal limitations of durian supply and achieving year-round availability.

Currently, the Tianbao Port international cargo area is equipped with 63 sets of professional cold-chain charging equipment, supporting cross-border cold-chain transportation. The Tianbao Port has implemented all-day advance booking customs clearance services, opened a dedicated channel for fresh agricultural products, and ensured priority fast processing for perishable goods like durian. The customs clearance capacity has also significantly improved, with a daily capacity of 1,500 vehicle passages.

The Tianbao Customs has moved the fruit sampling and inspection process from outsourcing to Kunming to local processing, reducing the inspection cycle from 7-9 days to within 72 hours. Currently, the durian import volume at the Tianbao Port ranks third nationwide and second in Yunnan Province.
