Nineteen trucks carrying donated produce, including straw, alfalfa, hay, and wheat, are being delivered to farmers in southern Bulgaria affected by fires. This initiative, organized by the United Farmers National Association and facilitated by Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Tahov, involves logistical support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Southwest State Enterprise, and the mayor of Breznik. The first seven trucks have already been dispatched, with twelve more to follow. Additionally, the Ministry has provided financial aid and created outsourced jobs to support the affected farmers, and efforts are underway to secure BGN 320 million for 'Ukrainian aid' in 2024.
