Between January and August 2024, the Mexican livestock sector experienced substantial growth in the production of all main animal proteins, including over 7 million tons of meat and nearly 9,000 million liters of milk. This growth not only increased the economic value of the sectors but also stabilized the national supply. The period saw a 2.4% increase in pork production to 1.1 million tons, 2.1% increase in beef production to 1.4 million tons, a 2% increase in dairy production to 8,940.4 million liters, a 2.4% increase in poultry meat production to 2.5 million tons, and a 4.2% increase in egg production to 2.1 million tons. The total value of Mexican animal protein production in 2023 was almost 612,000 million pesos.
